The Chattanooga Symphony

Chattanooga is lucky to have a very accomplished symphony orchestra that has performed for us for years. Unfortunately, the pandemic brought a halt to our nights out enjoying the majesty of the Tivoli Theater and the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra. Of course, we all know that it will return and we will appreciate it more than ever.
The picture above was taken before the beginning of one of the last performances before the season was cancelled due to COVID.
While the symphony was always spectacular, it was the time we spent together — the Old Ladies on the Loose — that made the evening worth dressing up for. We always called it “adulting.” If you have looked through many of the posts, you are well aware that “adulting” isn’t always our strong suite. But, it was one of those nights we looked forward to.
One of the things we most enjoyed was dinner before attending the symphony. There are plenty of restaurants near the Tivoli so we were always within walking distance.

While most of the pictures focus on us, it is worth mentioning that the Tivoli Theater is the star of the show. During the pandemic, while the performances are cancelled, the Jewel of the South as we call the Tivoli is getting a much deserved and needed facelift.
These evenings were special and we know we were — and will be — lucky to have the performing arts back in our city. We are eagerly awaiting the day when we can gather together again and enjoy our “adulting” nights.
